Bee Mindful's teaching apiaries give Apprentices the opportunity to work with and compare a wide range of hive styles—not just the conventional Langstroth hive.
Depending on the colonies and season, students may gain experience with Langstroth, Horizontal Top-Bar, Layens, Horizontal Langstroth, Warré, AZ and other hive systems.
This exposure isn't about promoting one hive as the answer for everyone. It allows you to see different systems in practice, understand their trade-offs, and make informed decisions about how you want to keep bees.
